What did the customer need?

A logistics operator serving the petrochemical and chemical industry needed an overhead crane and lifting beam for 20 ft and 30 ft containers, with anti-sway and double interlocking to the tilting frame on site:

• With a container on the tilting frame, the crane may enter the area only when it is not carrying a second container
• If the tilting frame is not at 0°, the crane is blocked from its area to prevent collisions
• If the container's twist locks are engaged on the tilting frame, the crane cannot lift
• The tilting frame works normally only while the crane is outside its area

How did ALLA deliver it?

ALLA supplied STAHL equipment and programmed the crane to the customer's requirements. Status signals are exchanged with the customer's equipment so both systems work together safely, and interlocks prevent damage from collisions or from lifting against the locks. Commissioning and function tests were carried out with the customer's machine control system, backed by fast after-sales service.
