Industrial Hoists

Industrial Hoists from STAHL, ABUS and EGON

Electric wire rope, electric chain, explosion-proof and manual hoists for factories across Thailand, selected for your load and duty, then installed, load tested and serviced by the ALLA Group.

What Is an Industrial Hoist?

An industrial hoist is a lifting device that raises and lowers loads with a wire rope or a load chain, driven by an electric motor or by hand. It can work on its own from a fixed point, or travel on a crane girder or monorail to move loads across a work area.

The ALLA Group supplies three hoist brands, so each application gets the right balance of capacity, duty and budget: STAHL from ALLA, ABUS from our subsidiary ONVALLA, and EGON from both.

  • Fixed, monorail or crane trolley
  • Suits high duty classes
Electric Chain Hoist

STAHL · ABUS · EGON

Electric Chain Hoist

A compact hoist with a hardened load chain, easy to install and maintain for light to medium loads.

Best for: Workstations, jib cranes, assembly and production lines

  • Compact, low weight
  • Precise positioning
  • Hook or trolley suspension
Explosion-Proof Hoist

STAHL

Explosion-Proof Hoist

Wire rope or chain hoists built and certified for areas where flammable gas, vapour or dust may be present.

Best for: Chemical, oil and gas, paint shops, grain and powder handling

  • Protection to the area zone
  • Wire rope or chain versions
  • Certified for hazardous areas

Also available

Manual Chain Hoist

Hand-operated lifting where power is not available or lifts are occasional, such as maintenance and installation work.

Electric Winch

EGON electric winches for pulling and hauling loads, from the ALLA Group.

Lightweight Crane System

ABUS HB rail systems and jib cranes that carry chain hoists across a workstation.

Chain or wire rope?

Choose an electric chain hoist when

  • Loads are light to medium
  • Lifting height is moderate
  • Space and budget are limited
  • The hoist serves a workstation or jib crane

Choose an electric wire rope hoist when

  • Loads are heavy
  • Lifting height is long
  • Duty is high, with many lifts per hour
  • The hoist runs on an overhead or gantry crane

How to Choose the Right Hoist

Six details decide which hoist fits. Share them with our sales engineers and we can recommend a model and brand faster.

01

Lifting capacity

The heaviest load, including slings, spreaders and lifting attachments.

02

Lifting height

Hook travel needed and the headroom available under the beam or roof.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hoists

An industrial hoist is a lifting device that raises and lowers loads using a wire rope or a load chain. It is driven by an electric motor or operated by hand, and can be mounted at a fixed point or on a trolley that travels along a crane girder or monorail.

A wire rope hoist winds a steel wire rope on a drum. It suits heavy loads, long lifting heights and high duty, and is common on overhead and gantry cranes. A chain hoist lifts with a hardened load chain. It is more compact and economical for light to medium loads at workstations, jib cranes and production lines.

Three brands. ALLA Public Company Limited has been the sole distributor of STAHL hoists in Thailand since 1994. ABUS crane and hoists systems are distributed by ONVALLA Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ALLA. EGON hoists, the ALLA Group house brand, are sold by both ALLA and ONVALLA.

STAHL and ABUS are German brands for industrial applications with specific ratings and duty cycles. STAHL is also known for explosion-proof hoists, and ABUS for HB lightweight crane systems. EGON focuses on cost-effective general lifting with easy maintenance. Compare capacity, duty, specification and budget, or ask our engineers to recommend one.

Take the heaviest load including slings and attachments, then add the lifting height, number of lifts per hour, operating hours and how often the hoist lifts near full load. These set the FEM or ISO duty group. Our sales engineers use this information to size a hoist that will not be overloaded or worn out early.

An explosion-proof hoist is designed and certified for areas where flammable gas, vapour or dust may be present, such as chemical plants, oil and gas facilities, paint shops and powder handling. The protection type must match the hazardous area zone and site regulations. ALLA supplies STAHL explosion-proof wire rope and chain hoists.

In most cases yes. Hoists can be supplied with a monorail, single girder or double girder trolley to suit the existing beam. ALLA engineers check the beam profile, capacity, headroom and power supply before recommending a model.

Yes. ALLA teams install and commission cranes and hoists, then carry out load testing and issue the inspection certificate signed by licensed engineers, as required by Thai workplace safety law.

Periodic inspection, preventive maintenance contracts, load testing, repair, spare parts and operator training, supported by a 24-hour service center. Genuine STAHL parts, ABUS parts through ONVALLA, and YALE hoist parts are available.

Share the lifting capacity, lifting height, duty, lifting speed, mounting (fixed or on a trolley and beam size), power supply and operating environment. Photos of the site or the existing crane help our engineers recommend the right hoist faster.
